Aufgaben und Anforderungen: Head of Pricing (m/f/x) bei Rebuy Recommerce GmbH
We are looking for a Head of Pricing who will own the function with the most direct and immediate impact on our margin. In a two-sided marketplace where we set prices on both what we pay for supply and what we charge buyers, every pricing decision affects customer trust, working capital and inventory velocity, and is thus a primary commercial lever.
This is a senior commercial role that will have a margin target, direct access to leadership (reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer), and the mandate to build something world-class.

Aufgaben

Own and develop the integrated buy-side and sell-side pricing framework across both our Consumer Electronics and our Media business, for fast and slow turners, ensuring buy prices are explicitly connected to sell-side economics; this includes designing and continuously optimising the data-driven engine, embedding it into the business, and setting up the decision-making process around it

The integration of relevant business levers/ strategies into the pricing and margin management, e.g. B2B sourcing, promotional campaigns, etc
- Drive and manage gross/ category margin percentage as your primary commercial KPI, by category and blended, with full accountability for diagnosing movements and recommending responses
- Lead and develop a direct team of pricing analysts and data scientists, and an indirect cross-functional team
Profil

8-12 years commercial experience with at least 5-6 years specifically owning pricing strategy at scale, including designing the framework

Deep understanding of dynamic pricing - algorithmic repricing, yield management, price elasticity estimation and application

Hands-on analytical capability - builds margin models and elasticity analyses directly, does not depend on others to do the quantitative work

Genuine familiarity with data science methods applied to pricing - understands how models, pricing approaches and demand forecasting work well enough to set objectives, interrogate methodology and challenge outputs

Has worked closely with data science or advanced analytics teams, and is able to translate commercial pricing problems into modelling briefs and convert model outputs into operational decisions without losing either the commercial logic or the statistical integrity

Comfortable with pricing technology - repricing tools, competitor monitoring platforms, pricing data pipelines

Proficient English; German is a plus
Preferred:

Direct recommerce, refurbished goods or consumer electronics/ media experience

Experience connecting buy-side and sell-side pricing as an integrated system

Has built pricing capability from an underdeveloped baseline rather than optimised a mature function

Understanding of working capital management and how pricing decisions affect cash conversion cycle
